GLIX – 700 hand-drawn hens, each on an A4 piece of paper, are laid out as part of the ‘Draw The Line’ exhibition at St. Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square. The drawings represent 7 million chickens kept in cages in the UK and the size of the paper highlights the approximate amount of space laying hens are confined to in a cage. The exhibiton is presented by the animal welfare group Compassion in World Farming and includes drawings from Dame Joanna Lumley, Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and Miriam Margoyles, among many others.
